At Blossomproject

Blossomproject is a participant-centred program providing group and individual support.

Topics discussed include resilience, self-esteem, confronting fears, relaxation techniques, managing difficult emotions, coping with change and loss, and setting goals.

Every session includes craft activities based on the topics below and may include sharing a meal together. Young women are welcome to just sit with the group and listen, talking and sharing is always optional at Blossomproject.

Blossomproject is in three stages:

Stage one – connecting with you is focused on the individual. This is a time to explore you. Who you are, what you want and why you are here. This takes place through discussion, exploring and sharing with the others in the group over a series of weeks. It is an opportunity to go through the process of allowing yourself to join in with others, hear their stories and perhaps share your story.

Stage two – connecting with others is about exploring the support that surrounds you. Who supports you? Where do you get your support from? How do you get support from others who don’t seem able to support you? How do you stop support that you don’t want or need? You are supported to seek out the support you need. Story sharing, supporting each other and exploring your own support happens over a number of weeks.

Stage three – connecting with community is about community. What community do you live in and what support can you access in your community? This is a time where we seek out specific services, organisations so you know what is available and how to access different areas that can support you in your life journey.
